Hold the corned beef, I’ll take a beer.
Rainy, cold, not ideal weather to be outside and yet – RECORD BREAKING attendance at this year’s Shamrock Run. Well done, Portland. A whopping 31,000 runners came out Sunday morning to get their run-on. Among those 31,000 there was myself, the lone Magnetoite. Though loving a good themed party – I was one of few that was not dressed in green from head to toe. Which is a shame, because green is my color. I have done the Shamrock Run before, but they really turned it up this year with the costumes. Clearly, my “What should I wear?” thoughts were clouded by my “Will I survive?” thoughts.

Power in Numbers
Well, I did survive. Along with mobs of other people. And despite the weather, everyone was in pretty good spirits on Sunday. Maybe because of the free beer after? Either way, it was a great start to the week and a great start to running season. Now lets see how many more I can survive this year.
